Some More Progress

God Causes ALL things to work together for good for those who love him and are called according to His purposes. Romans 8:28
This mailbox is symbolic of this scripture and what we are claiming as true
regarding the storm and the delay on the house.
A man who will be our neighbor at some point was taking out some fence post and ran into our new mailbox that Josh had put up. He told me he felt bad about it and wanted
to replace it with one that he built. This was about 4 weeks ago.
About 4 days after the storm he put up this mailbox. I cried and told him that "I didn't know to pray that he hit my mailbox so I could have one 10 times more beautiful!"

We are all a little disheartened at the thought or "re'doing" when we want to be done. We must count it all joy and persevere with patience (James 1)

Accessing Damage! Taylor has a bump on his head and had
several welts on his body from running to the house from the barn/trailor.
By the way.....the trailor is the only place that the windows didn't break in....how strange is that??
Pat collected hail and put it in the freezer. It had
already melted a lot. As you can see in Josh's window of his truck....
it was the size of a baseball or bigger.

All of the windows in Carl and Pat's Family/Game room
are cracked and broken out. Their sky window in the office and windows in Pat's bathroom are broken out. They are covered with plastic here.

Josh's truck!!!! He and Taylor drove it to the house/storm shelter from
the red barn. Josh couldn't see anything. It was all white so Taylor looked through this hole to tell him when and where to turn! That sounds like an adventure huh???

Dad's truck. His side mirror is even all broken off. This
picture makes it look better than it really is.

We can all be grateful................No lives were taken and the houses are still standing!
Even a 5th wheel trailor!

"THE STORM"

Joshua is carrying me to the front door to see the damage.
Worley and I were almost to Amarillo to celebrate our 20th Anniversary when the
storm hit so we came home.

The stucco up close
Even the concrete siding has dents!

Windows broken out and covered with plywood and stucco has lots of damage on the North
side of the house. The glass is blown all over inside. We just finished
vaccuming up glass off of all that trim and drying it off.
Man, am I going to enjoy that trim when I sit in my house and look at it.
It has had a lot of stories behind it and a lot or perseverance and help from others.

Pat and Heather

Heather and her friend Sharon

Don't we look good for just moving Heather out of the Dorm Before Graduation??!!

Mom looks so happy, but we really are "sick and tired" of trimwork!!
She is happy to just be here with us and is such good help.

Pat and Laura helped too, but weren't here for the picture.
